Hubei Institute of Automotive Technology Dongfeng HUAT team was founded in 2011, after more than 10 generations of members of the research and innovation, up to now has won a hundred awards. It has participated in China, Germany and Japan races for many times. The Dongfeng HUAT team has won nearly 100 awards since its establishment.
In 2012, we won the first national championship trophy. 2013, we went to Germany as China's champion and became the first Chinese team to finish the race in history. 2014, we went to Japan and set a new record for Chinese teams. 2015, we won the national championship again. 2016, we went to Germany again and set two new records. 2017, we won the national championship for the tram. In the same year, the tanker once again set a new record in Japan. In the same year, the oil tanker once again set a new record in the Japanese race. 2018 Dongfeng HUAT team oil tanker and tram went to Germany at the same time, becoming the first Chinese team with two-vehicle team to go to Germany. 2019 the oil tanker won the second place in the national championship.
